“Our Culture is why we are different”
Our teaching integrated with today’s people
The culture at Piano Invitation was inspired by the busy lifestyles that students, parents, and working adults endure daily in today’s society. As people are often occupied by work and study, it is difficult to find time to take up another commitment such as piano tuition. At Piano Invitation, we make an effort to make professional piano tuition possible for people with busy lifestyles. We prioritise our piano teaching based on the client’s schedule and we develop a program that answers your needs.
Instead of traditional piano teachings* which was catered for people to have a music career, we offer an alternative optimised for everyday people. At Piano Invitation, we offer tuition for those who would like to be professionals but for leisure rather than career. We will help you progressively through our lessons to become the pianist you want to be.
We teach you so you can teach yourself
Piano tuition with us is different from other tuition services as we set a new teaching standard that allows our clients to be self-sufficient on the piano. Our goal is to help our clients become ‘ready’ to learn and master music on their own. Rather than ‘holding’ onto our clients, we show them how we teach and give them the necessary skills to take flight as a self-tutor.
Our track-a-feedback system
In any form of tuition, feedback has always been regarded as an essential element in order for learning to be effective. Constructive feedback helps to spot and reduce errors, understand and apply concepts. Although good feedback measures have been applied in a number of successful piano tuition companies, the ability to recall the feedback has been the most overlooked. For example, lesson feedback from one to two weeks can be remembered but it would be increasingly difficult to recall feedback from over a month.
At Piano Invitation, we provide written constructive feedback using a simple and professional report after the lesson. The advantage of having written feedback is that it allows you to ensure that all aspects of the lesson are captured. With your progress summarised at your convenience, you will gain a clearer picture of your current skill level, the direction you're heading, and tips on how to get there. By eliminating the need to take notes as you play, the time for ‘hands on’ practice is also maximised.
What else can you expect from our Sydney Piano Lessons?
- Enjoyment. I value the enjoyment of my client as I believe music is fun, flexible and not simply 'repetitive tasks'.
- Ownership. To help students discover their own style of music and gain ownership of the keys, mentoring is performed using a step-by-step approach.
- Communication. Our piano mentors are respectful and professional in communication with our clients. It is our responsibility as a mentor to provide our clients with the right education, details, and support.
- Freedom. We believe that music can be learnt stress free. Our piano mentors provide the learning guidelines and the student sets the pace.
