Playing the piano for your first time can be a daunting experience: there are many keys which look similar and yet they can sound very different. Our role at Piano Invitation is to help you play and understand those keys in an orderly fashion. With our warm teaching methods that work, you can play piano more skilfully, comfortably, and learn at an excellent pace. Our goal is to help you become self-sufficient on the piano, at your own pace, and engage with music the natural way.

To optimise the learning curve in music, a balanced curriculum of music performance, theory, and composition is essential. However, a vast majority of students may find it difficult to grasp these music concepts altogether (especially students with study or work commitments). Under these conditions, traditional piano teaching methods can sometimes overwhelm students and as a result, these responsibilities may hinder the learning process.

At Piano Invitation, our lessons are different. The concepts of music are explained in a gradual manner so that they can be easily learned and understood in clear and simple steps. With our method, the learning curve for the student is made easier and the rate of achieving success in piano playing is greater.

We focus on reducing the complexity of the music rather than the ‘depth’ of the music so our students do not miss out on the full experience. At Piano Invitation, we believe that music is not a study or a continuous repetition of ‘homework to be due’. We believe that learning piano can be fun and pressure-free without forfeiting the effectiveness of the lesson.
